New blog for a group of guys in art purgatory trying to find out where we want to go with our love of art. We are currently working at legoland as caricature artists. This blog is a means to challenge each other and showcase our work to each other and also stay in touch and continue to motivate and inspire each other. every week (or whenever theres time) theyll be a subject posted and the members will have a week to meet the challenge and post it. Or just post whenever you want as long as you get your stuff up there. they can be sketches, rendered paintings, digital work or fingerpaints from your own blood whatever media!! ok biznatches. do work!

Orc Leader (Colored)

Here's my colored version for the tribal leader challenge. Spent to much time on this one but it was a fun to work on. As the War Craft Orcs say... "For the HORDE!"

Ork Leader

He's supposed to be riding a wolf. Think I'll color this when I get back from my trip. Enjoy!

On a side note... what the crap!? What is everyone sleeping?! Start making some art you bums! If it's any incentive to the Studio 2nd Street students, Comic Con's all ready 3/4 of year away!

Comic Connies

This is my (Taylor's) take on the last challenge. There's parts I like about this piece and parts I'll do differently on my next projects. One thing I'm learning though is that using acrylic ink instead of marker before you bring it to the computer really helps make the blacks "pop." I used a brush to ink this and colored it in Photoshop. Hope you guys like it.

Miranda / TMNT

If quickies are the theme to this gang bang, then my nickname is the "one pump chump." Actually, I spent a half hour on this one. I miss you Miranda. Hope it's a good school year in Michigan and you make lots of cool art.

This next one goes back to the video game challenge. Another cardboard drawing which seems to be my thing lately.

Taylor's newb attempt at comics

So here's my shot at the Crime World. I wanted to do this like a comic book because I've never done this before (except once in high school) and see how it goes. If anyone has suggestions, criticism or feedback, I'm all ears. These are the thumbnail sketches for the pages if I decide to keep going with this project. The final comic will be colored, this is just to show composition, value and see if the story reads well. I'll have some printed copies on me at Legoland, if you'd like to check it out in printed form. One more thing... the story doesn't have an ending. I'm thinking about adding a fourth (splash) page where the hero gets his brains blown out. There's a better way to end this, so if you have any ideas let me know!

Ricardo

Reminds me of the Beavis and Butt-Head movie when Butt-Head goes to the White House and thinks he's Cornholio.

Batman... again!?

Better late than never. This one's for you Mag.

Samurai Challenge: taylorMADE

So here's my shot at the samurai challenge. Good call by the way, Tyson. Anything related to pirates, ninjas, demons, Chuck Noris, etc. is fun to draw.

The bottom samurai is supposed to be a woman by the way. Not sure how her hair is flying out the back of her helmet (woops) but I liked the rhythm of it.
