I was at Drawing Night tonight and it ended up being Matt's Birthday and so I thought what would a birthday be without a birthday present and so I got this great image in my head that I just had to release onto paper and it got a great response that I got 2 orders of Metal-tures...as I call them!!

She was a Dutch dancer and courtesan who was executed by firing squad for espionage during the first WW. shes probably the most famous real femme fatale. if you look her up she wasnt a real stunner but i guess she was charming who knows. . . its NO WHERE near done, lots wrong with it and lots not done or finished or refined but critiques are welcome anyway. i kinda just threw in color with no real idea of color theory and the background with no idea of composition so its pretty caca but when im done with it ill repost it and itll look toight like a toiger! peace!

Taylor's newb attempt at comics

So here's my shot at the Crime World. I wanted to do this like a comic book because I've never done this before (except once in high school) and see how it goes. If anyone has suggestions, criticism or feedback, I'm all ears. These are the thumbnail sketches for the pages if I decide to keep going with this project. The final comic will be colored, this is just to show composition, value and see if the story reads well. I'll have some printed copies on me at Legoland, if you'd like to check it out in printed form. One more thing... the story doesn't have an ending. I'm thinking about adding a fourth (splash) page where the hero gets his brains blown out. There's a better way to end this, so if you have any ideas let me know!

This is just one of the quick sketches that i did for the challenge and just colored quickly in PS. It lacks structure and balance but like i said it was a quick sketch and i just wanted to hurry up and post it already. i had a few other ideas and maybe ill post them as i finish them or get re-inspired to do them. whatever. sorry its late. Well, he's supposed to be doing the nazi salute but instead he looks like he's raising his hand, oh well I liked the end result. Again I drew it in pencil, including the shading, and then colored it in photoshop. I like that process right now because I'm comfortable, for now but anyway enjoy it and if you want to read some more go to my blog to do so and to look at the sketch.
